The Art of Taxidermy
has changed greatly in the last 31 years. The materials are much better,
the techniques have streamlined and the education has improved
immensely. We attend seminars regularly to keep up on the latest
improvements in the industry and also view the newest educational
videos to pick up on new techniques and ideas.
What sets Nature's Art Taxidermy Studio apart from the rest?

QUALITY: When it comes to quality, you won't find any better. We use
nothing but the best and newest materials.
We tan all hides ourselves. Your hide will never leave the studio. Too often
hides are lost or damaged at commercial tanneries. The tanning process
and chemicals we use are the best in the industry and have been proven
for years. Your Deer, Bear, Fox, or other fur bearer will look as good
in 20 years from now as it does when you pick it up.
When mounting animals such as a Bugling Elk, Bear Growling or Coyote
with an open mouth, most Taxidermist insert a "one size fits
all" jaw insert. We will take the actual jaw, teeth and tongue and
cast an exact copy for your trophy. Not only does this give you more of
YOUR Trophy back but the techniques and materials we use will give it that
little extra to make it even more lifelike.
When mounting cold water fish i.e.: Trout & Salmon, Most
Taxidermists will try to mount the original head. The problem with this
technique with these type of fish is they contain a huge amount of oils
in the head and no matter how good it is cleaned out, it WILL start to
leak oil out within a year or two. This will ruin your mount and also
start to smell. The next thing you know, that "once in a lifetime
trophy" is banished to the garage wall.
The solution is to replace the head with an artificial one. This has
become the preferred method of better Taxidermists. The drawback of this
is that no two fish are exactly alike and most of these commercially
bought heads just don't fit right.
We will cast an exact copy of your trophy fish head. This will be what
you caught, it will fit exactly right, look fantastic and last you a
lifetime.
These are just a few of the things that we go the extra mile on.
When you entrust us with that Trophy of a Lifetime you can rest assured
you will be getting the absolute best Taxidermy Art possible.
PRICE: How much will it cost? This is the most asked question. To be
honest, price should be the last thing you worry about. Figure how much
you have invested in the Trophy before you even get it, in most cases, far more than
what it costs to have it mounted. You will find many Taxidermists to be much higher
priced and
you will be lucky to get that mount back within a year.
There is a price list page set up HERE
and if you look it over you should agree that our prices are quite reasonable for the quality you will
receive.
Are there cheaper Taxidermists out there? Yes there are but we go by the philosophy, I'd Rather
Explain The Price Than Apologize For The Quality because,
The Disappointment Of A Poor Mount Will
Last Long After The Happiness Of A Cheap Price Is Forgotten
Don't trust that "once in a lifetime trophy" to some guy who
"does" taxidermy out of his basement in his spare time.
Bring it to a Taxidermist!
Good luck and we hope to see you soon.
